Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and Iron Rod Systems LLC ("we") about your use of modelrailsim.com. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them.

Your account

• You need an account to use the simulator. Keep your password safe; you're responsible for what happens under your account.
• Give accurate information, and don't pick a username that impersonates someone or is offensive.
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

Using modelrailsim

Use the site for your own enjoyment, learning and layout planning. Please don't:

• try to break, overload, or get around the site's security or limits;
• use automated tools to create accounts, sign in, or scrape the site;
• misuse the AI features, for example to generate content that has nothing to do with model railroading, or that's unlawful or abusive.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

Your content

Layouts you design or import, and your saves, are yours. They're stored in your browser and with your account. When you use the AI features, you give us permission to process what you send so we can answer you.

Ideas you post on the Ideas board are public, and you let us use them to decide what to build. Keep them about modelrailsim, and don't post anything offensive or anyone's personal information; we may edit or remove posts that break these terms. Results you set appear on the public leaderboard under your username; we may remove results that look automated or tampered with.

Free, for now

modelrailsim is free while it's in early access. We may introduce paid plans or features later; we'll tell you before anything you're using stops being free, and nothing will be charged without your agreement.

AI output

Layout plans, solutions and assessments made by the AI can contain mistakes. Check a track plan (piece list, clearances, curve radii) before you buy track based on it.

Our content and trademarks

The site, its software, artwork and the modelrailsim name and logo belong to Iron Rod Systems LLC. NCE, Power Cab, Kato, Unitrack and Märklin are trademarks of their respective owners; we aren't affiliated with or endorsed by them.

No warranty

modelrailsim is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, Iron Rod Systems LLC isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site, and our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the last twelve months (which, while it's free, is nothing).

Changes and ending

We may update these terms; we'll change the date above and tell you about significant changes. You can stop using modelrailsim and delete your account at any time.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States.
